Dark Trooper

Dark Troopers were experimental combat droids created as part of the Galactic Empire's dark trooper program. The Dark Troopers were first seen used by Moff Gideon during the capture of Grogu from Din Djarin. The program's failure contributed to the Joint Chiefs becoming disenchanted with combat droids. Accordingly, following dark trooper models were actually body suits worn by a human pilot. Nevertheless, Dark Troopers also resembled the DT-series sentry droids also used by the Empire.
